I'm Still Here...

Sorry, but there's no crafty project to share with you today. I do have some things to share, but just haven't been in the mood to post lately. My dear Grandma passed away a couple of days ago at the age of 90 and although we all knew the day would come, it is still hard for me to deal with. I've been trying to be strong for my girls and especially for my Mom, but I won't lie... it's been a struggle. I'm glad that I have a very supportive hubby that is trying to help me cope through this rough time. I don't think I could do it alone. I do hope that I will find the energy to return to posting soon, especially since my 1 year blogaversary is coming up. Thank you to all of you for visiting my blog! I really appreciate it! Until next time...

Father's Day Picture Frame...

Can you believe it's already wednesday? OMG! With such a busy schedule, I barely had any time to create a father's day card for my hubby. So since I was short on time, I decided to use the instructions that I created for Craft Project Central and substituted the graduate punch art with faces of 4 little girls to represent each of my daughters. After taking this picture I inserted a family photo of us into the picture frame and that was it! This picture frame/card was easy, peasy, lemon squeezy! Hope you'll give it a try too!

My June OCS...

A close-up of the flower on the front of the card. I layered the flower and tried to pop up the petals to add dimension.

The outside of the card.

This is the inside of my card that I made for my partner Nanea. If you haven't been to her blog before, please take the time to check it out. She has some cute cards and takes beautiful photos.

For this OCS, we were asked to create a card with something we like. I decided to use my favorite DSP- Sweet Pea and one of my favorite stamp sets- Tropical Party. I hope that she likes it! I left it blank for her to personalize with family photos. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week!

Flag Card Instructions...

Last month I posted a Flag Card that I created for Shirley and had a couple requests to post the instructions for it. I FINALLY had the chance to sit down and do the instructions. Yes, it took me about a month (and I'm sorry it took so long), but I hope that you are still interested in making one of these cards.

Step 1: On a 5-1/2" x 11-3/4" piece of DSP, score it at 4-1/4", 5-3/4", 7-1/4", 8-3/4", 10-1/4" along the 11-3/4" side (see above photo).

Step 2: On a 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" piece of DSP, score it at 1/2" & 2" along the 6-1/4" side.

Step 3: Attach the 1/2" end of the 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" piece to the 1-1/2" end of the 5-1/2" x 11-3/4" piece. It should form one long piece of paper.

Step 4: Cut three 1-3/4" x 4" pieces of assorted colors. These will be the top flags. Cut three 3-1/2 x 4" pieces of assorted colors. These will be the bottom flags. Use the corner rounder on the outer edges.

*The following might be a bit confusing, but I will try to do my best to explain it. Attach the bottom flags on the front of each fold. Attach the top flags on the back of each fold. Note: the top and bottom flags will end up on different sides of the fold. Decorate as you desire.

This is a top view of the Flag Card. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to clarify. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. Hope you are enjoying your special day! Please check back tomorrow to see my OCS Flag Card that I created for my partner.

Smirk Thank You's...

While waiting for my girls to finish karate one day, I decided to go walking and came across a scrapbook store. They had so many DP, but I found these Smirk DP that I really liked. As soon as I saw the paper, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. I created these thank you cards and treats for some very special friends... just my way of saying thank you!

Stamp Camp Welcome Sign & Favors...

I still can't believe that the 3 day weekend has gone by so quickly, but that's what happens when you're so busy. My girls had a hula performance on both Friday & Saturday night out in Waikiki for the Pan-Pacific Hula Festival and DD2 also had a karate exam on Saturday. But to top it all off, yesterday was our Summer Stamp Camp! Whew... can't believe I survived the weekend! Boy, do I need a vacation! Okay enough rambling. Here is the welcome sign that I created for our stamp camp. I actually started off making an ice cream truck to match the favors, but let's just say that it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to... hehehe! So this is what I came up with, an ice cream cone.

This picture is quite blurry, but I tried to take a close up picture of the cone to show how I scored the cone.

This is the back of the sign. I had some extra mints after packing the favors so I decided to make a box to hold them in and attached it to the sign.

These are the favors that I made. I love these ready made boxes... super easy to use! All I needed to do was use the Sweet Scoops stamp set to decorate it. Thanks for stopping by. Check back tomorrow to see the projects that were made at out Stamp Camp.

Sports Cards...

I bought these stamp sets a while back, but never came around to using them. Since I really had a hard time creating with these, I decided to keep them simple. The soccer set is called Just Soccer and the baseball set is called Just Baseball. I also used the stamp set Small Sayings for the bball card. Hopefully I can get a bit more creative with these sets next time. We'll see...

Look at how delicious this looks? This card was created by Lynn Pratt our guest designer at Craft Project Central this month. You open the top bun to write your message. I think I might make these for Father's Day.

This album was designed by Naoko. This is just a sneak peek of the pages, but if you subcribe to the month of June at Craft Project Central, you will get the instructions for the whole album. Thanks for stopping by!

A Simple Card...

Lately I've been trying to squeeze in some crafting time, but it's been hard. I think I'm still recovering from DD2's birthday party this past Sunday. Even though it was a 3 day weekend, it seems like it just flew by. Thank goodness this weekend is almost upon us... though it'll probably fly by too!

Here is a card that I created while having my baby sit in my lap. She just loves to squeeze her way into anyone's lap. You could be reading the newspaper and she'll move it aside to sit in your lap... I love that about her! Needless to say that's why it's such a simple card. She didn't want me to get up to get some embellishments. But as long as she was happy in my lap and watching me craft... I was happy too! Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to head on over to Craft Project Central to enter our blog candy giveaway!
