Oriental Cards...

Here are more cards that I created this past weekend. I used the retired SU stamp set Oriental Paintings to make this card. I actually bought this set a while back and never used it. I love the images but just didn't know what to do with it... color it or leave it blank? I guess you can see that I decided to make it simple and emboss the image instead.

More Notepads...

These are some notepads (inspired by Shirley) that I created over the weekend. I think I need to still work on my coloring. As you can see, I don't do too well with shading. But that's another goal I've set for myself this year... try to learn the proper techniques of coloring. Maybe I should just let my hubby color these images next time? He's the art lover in our household. Anyways, thanks for stopping by... have a great day!

Simple Cards...

This is one of the cards I made this weekend. I was feeling a bit under the weather from all this vog in the air, but I still wanted to do some crafting. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember where I left my "creativity" so this is all that I could come up with. I just used some SU DSP for the background and stamped the sentiment.

This was my second attempt at a card this weekend. I think I did a little better on this one. Hope you like it. Check back tomorrow to see what other projects I've been working on...

OCS From Kyoko...

Here is the OCS that I received from Kyoko. Isn't it the cutest? I love the background image and she must have known that I really love my ice cream too! When I found out that she was my partner... well you could say that I was feeling the pressure to come up with a great card. But it is so funny to find out that she felt the same way! Kyoko, I love my card and I hope you liked the one I made too! Please visit her blog if you haven't checked it out yet!

Melon Mambo Gift Card Holder...

This is a gift card holder that I created using the Melon Mambo DSP, Well Scripted stamp set, and Flower Fusion embellishments. I also used the Scallop Trim Border punch for the edges of the outer envelope. Another quick and easy GCH to make when you don't have much time. Have a great weekend!

My First BIA Project...

Woohoo! Did I tell you that I finally got a Bind-It-All machine for Christmas? This is my first project that I made. I can't believe how easy it was to make and use the BIA. I used my HK embosslit, HK dp, and the HK ribbon that I got from my friend Beth. I also used the new border punch that SU came out with... Pinking Hearts. I am really loving all the new stuff that SU came out with in the Occassions Mini and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Go check it out if you haven't done so yet!

Daughter's School Project...

My oldest daughter made 30 of these CD calendars for a school project. They were given a budget of $10 to make at least 30 of an item that was recycled (she was well within her budget). Of course she choose to use CD cases and wanted to use my stamp stuff too! I have to say... she did a pretty good job of coloring and cutting out these images. I guess I know who to ask for help when I don't feel like coloring or cutting...hehehe!

Sending Love Specialty Gift Card Holders...

Made these really quick gift card holders using the new DSP in the Occassions Mini Catalog... Sending Love Specialty. I also used the Petal Card die and the Scallop Trim Border punch. I attached these to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" cardstock folded in half so that I could stamp a sentiment or write a note inside.

Post-It Notes...

Here is another project that I was able to complete courtesy of my dear hubby. These are post-it notes that I decorated with some DSP and cardstock. I used the SU retired set Fun Faces and my handy, dandy punches to create the rabbit and the bear. I really love that stamp set. Too bad SU didn't come up with more of them...

OCS For Kyoko...

My OCS partner for this month is Kyoko. I tried to incorporate purple into her card since I know that it's her favorite color. I used some Cottage Wall DSP, Rich Razzleberry cs, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, my sizzix dies (Two Tags, Scallop Circle #2, Beautiful Wings Embosslits), and my punches (Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle). I also used my paper crimper for the belly band! This was my first time making a double pocket card and it turned out to be easier than I thought it would be.

Another Use For Build-A-Bear...

I was lucky enough that my hubby let me have the "day off" to craft at home all day while he took the girls with him to run errands. Here is one of the projects that I was able to complete which was inspired by Shirley's wonderful notepad that she gave me for Christmas. I wanted to use my Build-A-Bear die, but I didn't want a bear on the notepad cover. So in the same way that I created my Gingerbread Man, I came up with this little girl. I cut off a small part of the bear's head and attached a circle instead and the rest is history. Hope you like my creation!

Build-A-Bear Packet...

I decided to put together this build-a-bear packet for 1LuvnMama so that she can use them to create with. All I had to do was cut out some bears and ran a few DSP through the big shot so that she would have different clothes to dress these bears up. Can't wait to see what she comes up with! Happy Friday! Yay! The weekend is finally here!

Card for a Dear Friend...

This is the card I made for a friend who is going through some rough times right now. I hope this puts a smile on her face even if it's just for a minute. I just wanted her to know that we are thinking of her and keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers!

Valentine Tag...

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things just like some of you other crafters out there. I received my order from the FEDEX man on Friday and was super excited to get cracking on some projects that are starting to creep up on me. Anyways, the first thing I came up with was this little tag for Valentine's day. Yes, it's still January, but I'm suppose to make 170 tags for my daughter's school PTO again. So as usual, I kept it simple and hopefully they will like it and know that it came from the heart! I used the following:

Punches: large oval, Scallop Trim Border
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Short & Sweet
Paper: Real Red cs, Whisper White cs, Sending Love Specialty DSP
Ink: Pretty in Pink

I also had a chance to finish some other projects, but I can't show them to you just yet. Thanks for stopping by...

RAK From 1LuvnMama...

Yay! I was one of the lucky recipients of 1LuvnMama's adorable notepad and matching card set! The funny thing is that I received it the same day she received the Panda punch art address book that I sent! It was a total surprise, but so worth it since I was having a rough day. It sure brought smiles to my face. My hubby was cracking himself up when he brought in the mail. As he handed it over to me he said "To Sweet As A Gumdrop; From 1LuvnMama!" Yes, he has a weird sense of humor... but I guess I love him anyways.

Panda Punch Art Family...

After a suggestion from a little "mama," I created some panda babies. This is an address book that I decorated with a panda family for someone special. It is long overdue, but better late than never, huh? Hopefully she'll like it and will put it to good use! Okay, I think I'm done with pandas for a while... what should I work on next? You'll have to check back to see!

Panda Punch Art Favor...

This is my first craft project for the new year! It's been a little hard for me to get back into crafting because I took such a long break... but hopefully I'll be doing a bit more real soon!

For this project I used the Bag with Scallop die on some Bermuda Bay cs. Then I layered it with Basic Black cs and Thoroughly Modern DSP. I topped it off with my Panda punch art.

My Digital Studio Blog Header...

Just wanted to share with all of you my new blog header that I created using My Digital Studio. I've actually had this software for a while (I think from October), but I never had the time to sit down and see what it was all about. Jane did a demo at our last stamp camp and showed me the basic steps for it. I can proudly say that I finally sat down tonight to try it out and I love it! One of my goals for this new year was to start using My Digital Studio... guess I accomplished that goal...hehehe! Hope you like my new blogwear. I know it's simple, but I'm still learning. I didn't know how to use the MDS to create a background for my blog so I just used one that I found online. Anyone who knows how to create a background using MDS, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by...

Love Bug Tag Set...
