Tropical Punch Art...

It's been a while since I first thought about creating some tropical flowers with my punch art, but needless to say, I never bought the bird punch until now. So now that I finally own the Bird punch, I could create these flowers! This is actually supposed to be a flower arrangement consisting of a Bird of Paradise and a couple of Torch Gingers. I sure hope that's what they look like! To create the Bird of Paradise, I used the Bird punch. I trimmed down some of the pieces to get them to look the way that I wanted it to. To create the Torch Ginger, I used the 5-Petal Flower punch and the Boho Blossom punch. The bowl that is holding these flowers was created with the wide oval punch. Hope you enjoy my creation! Thanks for stopping by!

I got this adorable stamp set from Michele a while back and I finally came around to inking it up. Such a fun set to work with. Thanks Michele! This set was perfect! Wishing all of you a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Back to the Cricut...

Here are a few more cards that I created using the critters I made a while back. It is so easy to create cards when you already have a stash of pre-made decorations. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to take out my Cricut and prep more items for future use. Happy Thursday!

Precious Moments...

I finally decided to use some of my stamps that have been "tucked away"... lol! Here is one of my Precious Moments stamps that I dug out to create a card for a dear sweet friend. As some of you might know, I've been a collector of Precious Moments figurines for a while and when I look at them, they always make me happy. They cheer me up and bring wonderful thoughts to mind. Hopefully when my friend receives this card, it will put a smile on her face too! Hope you all enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

What To Do When You Can't Sleep...

Before I start this post, I'd like to say that prayers go out to everyone that was affected by the earthquake and tsunami, especially those in Japan! My heart aches as I watch the news footage showing the devastation in Japan and condolences go out to those who lost loved ones. Here in Hawaii we were put on a tsunami warning last night and just the thought of what could possibly happen, kept me from sleeping. Fortunately, it didn't hit us as hard as it did Japan, but there were still some damages throughout the state.

Okay, time to get back to my post. Since I couldn't sleep, I decided to craft instead as I watched the news reports about the pending tsunami. I created this card using my good 'ol Cricut once again. I turned the inside of the card into a pop-up. Don't you just love the little crab holding the sign?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope my card can at least put a smile on your face even if it's only for a little while. Enjoy the rest of the weekend...

Ballerina Anyone?

Made this card using one of my "forgotten" Anya stamps. Since I still don't color well with the Copics, I decided to stamp the image on blush blossom card stock to minimize the space I needed to color. In fact, I think the only part I actually colored was her hair... lol! Her tutu and shoes are paper pieced together. I added some stickles to her crown too. The background of the card was embossed with a HK embossing folder. The paper is from the DSP pack Springtime Vintage. I did my best to try to spruce the card up by adding in some Victoria Crochet Trim & rhinestones, but I don't think I did it much justice. Oh well, back to the drawing board for me... hehehe!

Before I go, I wanted to share this beautiful card and RAK that was sent to me by Kacie. Look at that crochet flower in the middle? I think I need to show the flower to my mom and ask her to crochet a few of these for me because all that I can crochet is a "snake" or at least that's what I call it... lol! Thanks again Kacie!

I Just Couldn't Resist...

I wanted to make a card for a dear friend and I just couldn't resist this cute little fire dog (cause her hubby is a fireman). I know, I know... my cricut is going to explode from over use... lol! But that's okay since I'm finally making use of it! Didn't know what I was missing out on all these years when my Cricut was sitting in the closet collecting dust.

Can You Say Critters?

Do you think I have enough critters to last me a while? LOL! Actually, most of these critters have already found new homes. I only kept a few of them to make some cards that I'll be posting in the upcoming days. Thanks for always stopping by and leaving such sweet/encouraging comments! I think I'll let my Cricut rest for a while... at least for the weekend!

Happy Girl's Day...

Here are the treats that I made for my girls' teachers. They are filled with individually wrapped mochi. To make these boxes, I used the Box #2 die. I added a half piece of the Clear Circle die to the top and trimmed off the excess. The stamp set I used is Kimono Kids. For the lantern punch art, I used the 1-3/8" circle punch, stamped some cherry blossoms on top, and then crimped it. I also added a piece of 3/4" black circle to the top and bottom along with some cord on top. I hope these treats put a smile on their faces! Happy Girl's Day everyone!
