Critter Notepads...

One of my dear friends gave me a handmade notepad and which in turn, inspired me to make more of them! I decided to make a few to give away for Valentine's day, but I think I went overboard... hehehe! Hope you like what I created! Have a great week everyone!

More Cricut Cards...

Just a quick post today to share with you a few more cards that I created using my Cricut. My friend's daughter asked me to make her 3 Hello Kitty cards (pink, purple, and red). These are the cards I came up with. My fingers are crossed that she will be happy with what I came up with. Enjoy the rest of your week...

Going Crazy with the Cricut...

Here are more projects I worked on last week... checkbook covers! I made a total of 10 cutting these adorable characters out with my Cricut. Thank you to all my crafting sisters who helped me go in the right direction to purchase my clear covers. Where would I be without you ladies? Have a great week everyone!

Birthday Poodle...

My DD3 helped me with designing this card. She was very specific. She wanted a pink poodle wearing a birthday hat. I even let her choose which textured folder she wanted me to use. She chose SU's Elegant Lines. I cut the poodle out using the Cricut Create-A-Critter cartridge. For the birthday hat, I had to improvise. I just cut out a triangle, added some trim, and a button on top. Overall, I think it came out cute and we had a fun time designing it together.

A Card For CJ...

Last weekend was our Keiki Hula Competition. DD2 was the only one in our family to participate since DD1 is now too old and DD3 is too young. The halau did a great job and made us all proud! They had a great time and that is the best part!

Here is the gift card holder that I made for CJ, our halau's soloist in the Master Keiki Competition. The inside has a pocket to hold the gift card in, but I forgot to take a picture of it. The boy in the front was created using my Cricut cartridge Simpy Charmed. He was actually supposed to be a groom, but I changed it up and made him into a hula dancer. I added a Hau skirt and some kukui nuts to make the transformation. Congrats to the girls and to CJ for a job well done!

Boy or Girl?

I used my Cricut again (boy, it's coming in handy) to create these baby cards. Actually, DD1 was the one that cut out the image and all I did was assemble everything together... now that's what you call teamwork! I made 2 versions. One will be given to our friend who just gave birth to a baby girl and the other will be given to my dad's friend who is having a baby boy. I think baby cards are one of my favorite types of cards to make!

Minnie Mouse Invites...

Here is a picture of the 125 invites I made for a friend who's daughter is turning 1. Her theme for the party is Mickey/Minnie and the colors are pink/black. I used the Mickey Mouse cartridge and my DD1 so thoughtfully decided to volunteer to cut out the base of the card on the Cricut. Little did she know it would take a while, but she didn't mind... or at least that's what she said... lol! I hope my friend will like them. She is going to add on the party information to the center of the card. Check back in a couple of days to see the matching favors.

Mass Production... lol!

Here is one of the projects that I've been working on lately. It definitely took some time to put together 180 of these little tags that will be attached to our teachers/staff welcome back gifts this coming school year! I used my Cricut to cut out the sun and it took about 3 hrs total! Yikes... I didn't realize that it would take that long, but it was because there are 3 layers to the sun. Thank goodness I still have about a month left to bag the gifts that go along with these tags.

A Little Seahorse...

Here is another card that I made with the extra critters that I cut out. I made this card for a special friend to celebrate her birthday. And even though we don't see each other as much, I wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her on her birthday! I hope that it put a smile on her face.

Sometimes I Wish I Was An Octopus...

Do you like my title? It's true! Sometimes I wish I was an octopus so that I could get even more done! LOL! Our busy life has been catching up with me and that is why I haven't been able to post as much as before. Luckily, I've still been able to craft (it keeps me sane... lol). Here is my card that I wanted to share with all of you today. A friend of mines asked me to cut out some critters for her so at the same time, I made some to use myself. Wishing you all a great work week!

End of the Year Gifts for Teachers...

Since I already had my Cricut out from making my CATS projects, I decided to use the Create-a-Critter cartridge to make cutouts. I used them to decorate these personalized composition books for some of the teachers at DD2 & DD3's school for their end of the year gift. They were so cute that I even made one for me... lol! I hope the teachers will put these to good use! I can't believe the school year is already coming to an end. It seems like only yesterday that they started.

CATS May...

Here is my card and tag that I created for this month's CATS (card and tag swap). The theme this month was to use the color combo orange, pink, and yellow. When I read that, the first thing that came to mind was sherbert ice cream. So I took out my Cricut and used the Simply Charmed cartridge to cut out these ice cream cones. I hope my partner will like these! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Graduation Cards...

Have you made your graduation cards yet? I was thinking that I only had to make 2 cards, but little did I know that the final number would actually end up being 6! LOL! I really thought I only had my 2 nieces graduating, but then a few of my former students sent me their graduation announcements! And then my neighbor told me that he was graduating... ai-yai-yai! Boy do I feel old! Anyways, here are some of the cards that I made using my Cricut and the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I dressed up these critters with a graduation cap and a diploma. Happy Wednesday!

Tins For Some Friends...

My oldest daughter asked if I could make something for her 2 BFFs for Easter. I decided to decorate these tins and personalize them with some vinyl. The penquin was created using the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge that I received from one of my daycare families as an "early" Easter present. This is another great cartridge with so many cute things to create!

Back to the Cricut...

Here are a few more cards that I created using the critters I made a while back. It is so easy to create cards when you already have a stash of pre-made decorations. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to take out my Cricut and prep more items for future use. Happy Thursday!

Just 4 You...

Just a short post for today as I would like to share another cricut card that I created for a friend of mines. I hope that she'll like it. I just couldn't resist using this adorable little seal. Wishing you all a great week!

What To Do When You Can't Sleep...

Before I start this post, I'd like to say that prayers go out to everyone that was affected by the earthquake and tsunami, especially those in Japan! My heart aches as I watch the news footage showing the devastation in Japan and condolences go out to those who lost loved ones. Here in Hawaii we were put on a tsunami warning last night and just the thought of what could possibly happen, kept me from sleeping. Fortunately, it didn't hit us as hard as it did Japan, but there were still some damages throughout the state.

Okay, time to get back to my post. Since I couldn't sleep, I decided to craft instead as I watched the news reports about the pending tsunami. I created this card using my good 'ol Cricut once again. I turned the inside of the card into a pop-up. Don't you just love the little crab holding the sign?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope my card can at least put a smile on your face even if it's only for a little while. Enjoy the rest of the weekend...

I Just Couldn't Resist...

I wanted to make a card for a dear friend and I just couldn't resist this cute little fire dog (cause her hubby is a fireman). I know, I know... my cricut is going to explode from over use... lol! But that's okay since I'm finally making use of it! Didn't know what I was missing out on all these years when my Cricut was sitting in the closet collecting dust.

Can You Say Critters?

Do you think I have enough critters to last me a while? LOL! Actually, most of these critters have already found new homes. I only kept a few of them to make some cards that I'll be posting in the upcoming days. Thanks for always stopping by and leaving such sweet/encouraging comments! I think I'll let my Cricut rest for a while... at least for the weekend!

Another Cricut Card...

How come no one ever told me that this cricut cartridge would be so addicting? LOL! After making the turtle in my last post, my other daughter asked me to make a lion. This is what I came up with. Hmmm... I wonder what my other daughters will ask me to make next? I hope you all enjoy your weekend! I'm looking forward to mines.
