New Projects At Craft Project Central...

Here is the May project that I created for Craft Project Central. This fireman gift card holder can be used to thank the local firemen or to give to your special "fireman" at heart! Thank you to my "special" friend for her expertise advice... you know who you are... hehehe!

Naoko created this month's technique page. Emerging Colors Technique is a special little twist on the Embossing Resist Technique. Thanks Naoko!

May Mtg. Swap...

It's been a while since I made cards to swap at our monthly meetings so I figured I better get a move on it and make some for our meeting tonight. Our theme for swaps is "Big Shot" cards. The sentiment comes from the set Kind & Caring Thoughts and the sunflower is from A Flower For All Seasons. The big shot items that I used were the scallop square die and SU Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.

As I was making this card, the sunflowers reminded me of my dear friend Lisa who passed away last summer. Lisa would have celebrated her birthday this month. She had the most beautiful personality inside and out! She always knew just how to put a smile on your face even on the darkest days! In fact, she still does. Each time I visit her grave, I am reminded of what a great friend she was and although she is not physically here with us, I know she is with us in spirit! I was blessed to have her in my life...

Have a great weekend!

Cards From DD4's Party...

Here is a picture of the handmade cards that were given to my baby at her 1st birthday party last month. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate and to those who sent birthday wishes!

This is the book that Naoko made for Brielle. As soon as she opened it, she took off with it. Of course Mommy was right behind her making sure that she didn't damage it! What can I say, she loves books!

This is the bag that Michelle used to hold Brielle's gift. All she did was add some ribbon and a Hello Kitty cut out, but look how cute the bag is now!

Thanks for all the great ideas and for inspiring me to create. Now all I need to do is find the time to do it... hehehe!

Yes, She's Back...

I know I said I needed a break from Hello Kitty after my baby's first birthday, but when you've got 4 girls HK is bound to show up... plus she's so darn cute! Anyways, I just wanted to share with you the birthday invitation I created for DD2. Yes, her birthday is this month and she chose to have a Hello Kitty theme.

I've been seeing a lot of shape cards lately, so I thought I would give it a try. I used the SU Simple Birthday Thanks stamp to make a pattern. I traced and cut each of them out. I know it might sound nuts to you, well, okay I agree... I'm nuts... hehehe! But what can I say? I love cutting things out! It's very relaxing for me. Oh yeah, the fold of the card is actually on the bottom of the cupcake and I used some Melon Mambo DSP to decorate the top.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a great, fun-filled week! Don't work too hard!
