My Birthday Gifts...

Thanks for stopping by today. Sorry, nothing crafty about this post, but I wanted to share with all of you my birthday gifts from my hubby and kids. As some of you may know, I took the loss of our family cat really hard and at that point, I wasn't sure if I even wanted to get another pet. But as time went on, my heart started to heal and I was able to remember the wonderful memories created with our Kirakira. My hubby thought it would be a good idea to get another cat if it would make me happy again... not to replace her, but to create more happy memories. I jumped at the opportunity and decided to see if he would be willing to get two instead of just one. To my surprise he agreed that we could add two more cats to our family. Although I know deep inside that my heart is still going through the healing process, how could I let an opportunity like this fly by? Of course I took him up on his offer and these little ones are definitely warming my heart! We adopted these two kittens from our local Humane Society. We decided to name them Hope & Faith!

Welcome to the family Hope (striped) & Faith (black)!

  6. Hi Brenda;
    Wow those two kittens are such cutie pies! How sweet of your husband.
    Happy Birthday to you! You've got two wonderfully darling gifts to care for and create new memories with. You will always have memories of Kira and while you're playing with the two cuties, you'll pause and think of Kira.
    BTW, did I tell you my daughter's 2 month old baby's name is Kira?
    Anyway, hugs to you.
