Gifts From The PTO...
Some of you might already know this, but this year I decided to be the chairperson for the Teacher Appreciation Committee at my daughters' school. With some help, I was able to put together these Halloween treat bags for the Teachers/Staff. I used the Make A Monster stamp set, my spider web embossing folder, and some punches to create the top portion of the tag. We were also fortunate to give them an Entertainment Book and school folder along with the treat bag (sorry, didn't take a picture of the final gift). Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend everyone!

Sweet Stuff...
This is the OCS card and raks that I received from my partner Dori this month! She made that cute little witch's hat and filled it with candy. And that little treat bag I believe was created using the scallop envelope die. Dori, thanks for being my partner this month and for sharing your great ideas!
These are the goodies that I received from Joy for Halloween! Can you believe she fit all those goodies into that little box? Amazing Joy! You are always inspiring me! Thank you!
Here is the blog candy that I won from Nanea! Isn't she sweet? Look at all these goodies! Thank you for your generousity Nanea! I can't wait to craft with these goodies!

Simple Halloween Treat...
I decided to keep it simple this Halloween simply because my baby has been like my tail these past couple of days and I haven't really been able to craft (unless she's sitting in my lap)... hehehe! I used my french fry box die to cut these out on the big shot. Then I used my Fun Faces II stamp set (one of my faves- too bad it's retired) and embossed the jack-o-lantern's face on the front. It can't get any easier than that! Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with more to share...

Card For My Hubby...
Here is the card that I made for my hubby as we celebrated his birthday last week! Since it's a guy card, I had trouble trying to design it and in the end decided to keep it simple. I ran my card stock through my big shot, added some buttons, and a sentiment. To top it off I added in an image that I colored with my copics. See, I'm still practicing... hehehe! And at least now he can see that I'm using my pens, right? The card itself is actually a recordable card that I got from SU in the mini catalog. You press the button to record your message and there's a "play" button for the recipient. Just another cute way to personalize your greeting...
Have a great week everyone!

Thanks For Being Such An Angel...
Here is a card that I created for another wonderful blogging sister... Elise. She recently shared her story on her blog about being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to create a card with lots of pink! I also wanted to thank Elise for helping to spread awareness about Breast Cancer. She has made me realize that it is important for us to make the time to do monthly self-exams and go in for regular check-ups too! I will be honest, as I am not one to do it regularly, but with her in mind, I will try my best to make the time to do it even if it means that I need to write it down! Elise, all our love & support goes out to you! We are all joining you in the fight against Breast Cancer!

A Card For Joie...
Today I wanted to share with you a card that I created for my dear friend Joie to celebrate her birthday. I hope she liked the card and goodies that I sent to her!
I've recently been trying to practice coloring with my copics and got some great tips from some wonderful blogging sisters! Thanks ladies for putting me on the right track... hehehe! I've learned 2 things so far. The first is that it's going to take a lot of practice to get it right. The second thing that I've learned is that in order to shade properly, I need more pens! LOL! I guess I need to hint to my hubby to get me some for my birthday, huh? On second thought, maybe I'll just go out and get some myself! Have a great day!

My October OCS Card...
Here is the card I made for Dori, my OCS partner this month. Our theme was Halloween and since I don't have many Halloween stamps in my collection, I decided to bring out my punches. The tree was cut out free hand and the leaves are from the 5-Petal flower punch. The moon is from the 1" circle punch. The bat was created with the owl punch, but this time I tried something different with the wings. It's actually made out of the owl's body that was cut in half and trimmed. If you look closely, you will notice that the ends of the bat's wings are actually the owl's ears... hehehe! I hope this card helps to put you in the mood for Halloween!

Halloween Box From Grammie...
I had the chance to meet up with Creative Grammie this weekend to drop off some goodies that she ordered from me. She was sweet enough to give my girls and I this festive little box full of candy! Thank you Grammie for the adorable Halloween treat! She is just one of the many wonderful ladies that I have met through this world of blogging!

Halloween Candy Bar Wrapper...
Here is a candy bar wrapper that I created for the ladies that I crafted with at Teri's house this past weekend. I made the bat using the owl punch. His wings are also from the owl punch. It's actually the piece that is supposed to go over his chest area. I cut it in half and then trimmed the edges to make his wings. Unfortunately, I don't own the bat punch (can you believe that?) so I made do with what I had. Thanks for stopping by!

Teri's Tag Class...
I was fortunate to attend Teri's Tag Class this past weekend! What a wonderful way to get started on some holiday fun! It's always fun (and relaxing) to attend Teri's classes and hang out with some crafting buddies. Teri is such a sweetheart and full of creative ideas! Here is a picture of the tags that we created, all 50 of them... yes, 50 tags!
At each class Teri also has a bonus project for us to work on. Look at this adorable gingerbread house? Way too cute! Thanks again Teri!

My First Tag Swap...
Whew... what a busy weekend! My hubby was brave enough to take my 3 older daughters to the Justin Bieber concert on Friday night and while they had fun singing and dancing, I stayed home with my baby and worked on some crafts together. Yes, "we" worked together on some projects (she sat on my lap and helped pass things to me... even when I didn't need it... hehehe)! Here are the set of tags that we created for Kyoko's Christmas Tag Swap. This month my partner was Denise and I am so glad that she liked my tags. I decided to make some little gingerbread men punch art to add to my tags. Those punches always come in handy... hehehe!
I stamped this little peppermint and wrapped it in cellophane to give it that "candy" look. The ends are tied with dental floss.
I couldn't give Denise my tags without a box, so I created this matchbox style to hold them.
Here is a photo of how the box opens up.
These are the wonderful tags that I received from Denise! And look, she also gave me a stamp too! Love the saying on the stamp, but I especially love the way she did the border on the tags! Thanks Denise for teaching me something new and for being my tag swap partner this month!

Mtg. Project & Swaps...
I was in charge of the mtg. project this month, so I chose to have everyone decorate a baby food jar and create a holder. We used the Fang-tastic stamp set, spider web embossing folder, and lots of embossing powder to created this project... hehehe! I hope that everyone enjoyed the project. I had a few extra sets, so I decided to make them to give to some friends.
Here are the card swaps from the mtg. Unfortunately, time ran out on me and I wasn't able to create a swap. But my fellow stampers were sweet enough to give me a card anyways. Thank you to Krista, Karen, Stephanie, Naoko, & Jane for the wonderful swaps!

Card Camp Favors & Welcome Sign...
Here is the welcome sign and favors that I created for our Card Camp that was held this past Saturday. Thank you to all of you who came. I hope you enjoyed yourselves, made new friends, and learned something new! I used the Fang-tastic stamp set for both and embossed the images... yes, I'm on an embossing kick right now... LOL! And for those of you who know that I like to cut things out, the little bats are embossed and cut out too! The ghost punch art was created using the Wide Oval punch and I just trimmed the bottom with my paper snips. Hope you like them! Can't believe October is already here! Have a great week!
