Mini Calendars

Just a quick post this morning as the daycare kids are about to start arriving. Here are the calendars that I've been working on with my girls. The wording in the circle says "You Make Me Smile." It is from the stamp set Tiny Talk. The cardstock, DSP, ribbon, and stamp set are all from SU. I also put a magnet strip on the back of these. Hope you like them...

Mini Post-It Note Holders

For the past 2 weeks my wrist has been bothering me and I just figured that it was from carpal tunnel. Needless to say, I finally went to have it checked and the doctor said that I sprained my wrist! I don't even know when it happened, but it goes to show that even a sprained wrist won't stop me from crafting. Good thing it was my left wrist and not my right, since I'm right handed... LOL. Oh well, enough with that. I have lots of things to show you in the coming days since I've been busy crafting my time away with my one good hand and some help from my girls. These are some mini post-it note holders that I quickly put together using some SU ribbon, DSP, and punch art. Thank God my girls love using my punches. I couldn't do it without them. Frankenstein Treat Boxes

I had some left over cardstock from the wedding favors I made so I wanted to use it to make something for Halloween. I decided to make some little Frankenstein Treat Boxes. They were really easy to make and a great way to make use of my left overs. Here are the dimensions...

Box:
- 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" gable green cardstock
- score at 1 13/16" all around
- score from each corner at an angle to the crossing point to form an explosion box
- trim the corners

Cover"
- 4" x 4" black cardstock
- score 1" all around and then use the scallop edge punch
- trim the corners at an angle before gluing to form cover.

Just Another Card...

This was just a quick card I put together last night for a special little girl who is having a birthday soon. I used one of the images that I got from Joni and colored it with my watercolor pencils... although this time I didn't use the blender pens and left it as is. I hope she likes it!

I also had the chance to finish the favors and welcome sign for our upcoming Card Camp next Saturday, but you'll have to wait until then to see it. Little by little my project to do list is getting shorter... YAY! I should have more to post in the upcoming days. Have a great weekend everyone...

Christmas Tags

I'm sorry I haven't posted any projects since last week, but I haven't had the time to sit and stamp since I finished those wedding favors. I was busy making ti leaf skirts for my girls' hula performance for the Thunderbirds at Hickam this weekend and my oldest had to prepare for her Black Belt exam. I am proud to say that my 10 year old daughter officially holds a Black Belt in Karate! Woohoo!

Okay, back to the project. I decided to work on making tags and a box to hold them in as my contribution to the Silent Auction for our upcoming Card Camp. The tags were easy to make and I made 5 of each design. I just used my punches: wide oval, scallop oval, large oval, 1 3/4" circle, scallop square, scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, and 1 1/4" circle. I used the stamp sets: Tiny Talk & Year-Round Fun II (both are retired sets). As for the box, I had to make my own dimensions. I've been seeing similar boxes on other people's blogs and I figured I'd give it a try (and I remembered to write down the dimensions...yay!). For those of you who might be interested, here are the dimensions:

Box:
- 4 3/4" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock (score 1 1/4" all around)

Insert Divider:
- 2 3/16" x 10 3/4" piece of cardstock (score at: 1 7/8", 3 1/8", 4 3/8", 6 3/8", 7 5/8", 8 7/8")

Cover:
- 3 3/4" x 7 1/2" piece of cardstock (score a little before the 3/4" all around); then cut 1 1/4" inwards all around.
- 2 1/8" x 5 15/16" piece of DSP; cut 3/8" inwards all around.
- 2 1/4" x 6" window sheet
- decorate as desired

Michele is so thoughtful! She sent me this card and Anya stamp as a thank you for the birthday gift that I gave her. How sweet was that? She didn't need to get me anything, but that's the kind of person Michele has always been. She is always thinking of others! Thank you very much for my very first Greeting Farm stamp... I love it!

I'm Finally Done...

These are the wedding favors that my dear husband so generously volunteered me to make for his co-worker. I made 125 birdhouses and 125 matchbox favors... a total of 250! I can't believe that I am finally done with these. I kept putting them off and of course waited till the last minute to work on them. But once again with the help from my daughters (and a little help from my hubby) I was able to complete these in a week! The bride chose the colors cameo coral and gable green for me to work with. I used the heart stamp from the Love You Much stamp set for the roof of the birdhouse and the cover of the matchbox (sorry, can't really see it in the picture). The birds also came from the same stamp set. I got the birdhouse template from www.papertreyink.com a while back cause I also made similar birdhouses for last year's Holiday Stamp Camp favors. Now I am so excited that I can start stamping other projects... don't know what, but I'm sure I'll think of something...hehehe!
