Altered Image...

I created this box for Tamiko's Challenge that ends today. I know, it's not like me to wait to the last minute. At first I wasn't going to do it because I didn't have the time, but fortunately I was able to squeeze in some time to create today... thanks to my hubby who gave me a break. Anyways, the challenge was to alter a Greeting Farm image so I chose to combine Ballerina Anya and Wild Sprouts Reeta. Instead of just stamping the image with black ink, I decided to emboss the image so that it would "pop!" I hope you like my altered image. It kind of reminds me of my little one! Have a great weekend!

Recipe Book Cover...

I've been busy making more recipe books filled with recipes like I've posted in the past. The only thing was that as I was making the cover, I realized that I didn't have enough of those fabulous Sweet Pea Felt Flowers that SU used to sell (they've been retired... boohoo)! So I needed to think of another way to design the cover. This is what I created. I used the Fun Faces II stamp set (retired) and of course those handy, dandy punches of mines... hehehe! The only thing I cased was the chef's hat. You can find the link here.

Oh yeah, I also wanted to share with all of you that my scallop circle treat bag that I created for Craft Project Central was featured on Showcase Sisters. What an honor that they would choose one of my craft projects! Thanks for stopping by!

Dog Composition Books...

Here are more punch art composition books that I altered. This time I made some with dogs. I am starting to love doing punch art using the bigger punches and some of the big shot dies. If you haven't tried creating some punch art of your own, I really encourage you to give it a try. You would be surprised to see what you can come up with! Just let your imagination take control!

My OCS From Jenny...

Look at this beautiful card that I received from my September OCS partner Jenny! I was amazed with the coloring and the background. The colors just flow together! Amazing job Jenny! And thanks also for the mini cherry blossoms. Hmm... what gave you the idea that I love cherry blossoms? Hehehe! Thanks for being my partner this month.

More Gusseted Envelopes...

I've been a little busy creating some craft projects that I'll share over the next couple of days. Here are more altered gusseted envelopes that I made. This time I used some punch art to decorate them. And look... I even remembered to show you how I created dividers for these!

I can't believe how fast time is flying! Before you know it Halloween will be here, then Thanksgiving, and yes, you said it... Christmas! Oh my goodness! I think I'm getting ahead of myself... hehehe! Anyways, I wish all of you a great week!

An Altered Gusseted Envelope...

I altered this gusseted envelope that SU sells by cutting off the elastic and adding some velcro under the flap. I also made some dividers to put inside, but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of them. I hope you all have a safe weekend... enjoy your time with your families!

A Thank You For My Candy...

Here is the thank you card that I created for Jean at Dandelion Designs. She was sweet enough to send me a set of her stamps (see below). And look, she even made a cute little box that fit the stamps perfectly! If you haven't visited her blog, you really need to! She has some of the most adorable projects! Thank you Jean for always inspiring me!

My September OCS...

Here is the card that I created for my partner Jenny for this month's OCS. The challenge this month was to create a card that had a summer theme. When I think of summer, I think of the zoo. The first animal that comes to mind is the peacock since they are all over the zoo. So I decided to create a peacock punch art card. To make the peacock I used the scallop circle die & punch, owl punch, & itty bitty punch pack. As you can see, I also used a lot of "bling" on this card and I think I might have gotten a bit carried away... LOL! I hope Jenny likes this card! Can't wait to see her creation as well!

Ballerina Shopping List...

Just a quick post to show you a shopping notepad that I decorated with my ballerina punch art. Making punch art is a great way to use up those tiny scraps of card stock. I hope that everyone has a great week!

DD3's Thank You Cards...

Here is a picture of the thank you cards I made for DD3's birthday party. We celebrated her birthday at the zoo and of course she chose to have a picture of the komodo dragon on her cake... yikes! Lizards are not one of my faves, but since she loves them so much, I decided to incorporate it into her card along with her 2 favorite colors. Let's just say she totally loved it!

Elmer's Glue...

Just a quick post to answer a question that someone asked. Sorry, but I don't have your email to respond to you personally so hopefully you'll see this post. But I'm sure that this response will help others who were wondering the same thing...

"Love your precious composition books. I've always wanted to make some, but have never found a good way to attach the paper. Would you mind telling me what you used? Thanks so much."

To answer this question,
I use Elmer's glue and spread it with a flat sponge brush. Once you attach the paper, trim off any excess. I also like to use the sanding block to sand the edges. If you would like more info on the dimensions of the paper to use, please click here. Thanks for stopping by! I really do appreciate all the comments everyone leaves me!

Stamp Camp Favors & Sign...

Here are pictures of the favors I made for our Stamp Camp today. I ended up making 76 of these and using the extra images that I colored to create the welcome sign too! I used the Greeting Card Kids stamp set to create both the favors and sign. I also used the square lattice texture folders. The instructions for the favors can be found here. Below are pictures of the welcome sign I made. Thanks for stopping by!

Sept. Mtg. Swaps...

This is the card I created for our mtg. this past weekend. I used the DSP from the hostess pack and some Concord Crush card stock. I also used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Beary Best Friends stamp set, Family Phrases stamp set, and scallop circle #2 die. I didn't have a circle die that would fit the scallop circle I chose, so I ended up making my circle the old fashioned way... trace a cup and cut it out (LOL)!

Here is a picture of all the swaps created by: Stephanie, Karen, Sonya, Naoko, Jacque, & Jane! Thank you ladies for the inspiration!

Sept. Mtg. Project...

Jacque was in charge of our mtg. project this past weekend and this is what we made... our very own color chart! Of course I would have never made one on my own since I don't own every stamp pad, card stock, or marker... lol! I'm so glad that we made this because I keep it at my craft table and it has been very handy in the few days that I've had it! Thank you Jacque...

Monkey Punch Art Tin w/Matching Card...

Sorry that I haven't been posting as much these past couple of weeks. My girls and their activities have been keeping us pretty busy, but I know things are starting to slow down for a bit. Speaking of my girls, on Monday they had the honor of dancing the hula with their Halau for the Jerry Lewis Telethon! I'm so glad that their Kumu gave these girls the opportunity to give back to the community once again. Last year I lost a dear friend in her battle against ALS (a form of MDA). So having my girls perform in honor of their Aunty Lisa was such a blessing! I know she was smiling down on them and it reminded me once again to appreciate the life we are given!

Okay, now moving on to my post. Here is my 2nd project that I created for Craft Project Central this month. It's a Monkey Punch Art Tin and the instruction also includes those for the card and punch art page. Come join us for another month of great projects!
